Kathon CG is a mixture of 1)5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isotiazoline-3-on and 2) 2-Methyl-4-isotiazoline-3-on. Other constituents are phosphate buffer with sodium chloride, magnesium chloride and magnesium nitrate. This mixture has not been tested, but at the concentrations used in the Phadebact® collection kits, none of the constituents should present a risk to the user if used in accordance with the product insert, instructions and precautions.
